Re: v1.3 Release Candidate to support MT4 Build 545, 574+

one minor detail that you forgot is that you make the launcher selection automatic for mt4 launchers. For example, youtry to use the Birt'sTickDataSuite launcher (tds.exe) to launch the product. But If I am using tickstory to launch the mt4, that means I want tickstory to launch the mt4 installation...

Re: designate export folder....

Hi 4EverMaat, The file export does permit you to specify the absolute path name for the CSV (etc) files. Simple enter this file specification in the 'output filename' box. Tickstory will not output information to the MT4 'history' folder by default as this is not the correct location to export file...

Re: v1.3 Release Candidate to support MT4 Build 545, 574+

Unfortunately not works with MT4 build 600  Hi Dobermann, You will need to use the /portable flag to ensure all data is stored in the MT4 directory. You will also need to make sure your MT4 installation is not under "Program Files" folder since Windows will prevent data from being written here...

designate export folder....

this may seem trivial, but I noticed that when I exported the csv file, it was in the TickStory install folder, NOT the designated data folder that stores the dukascopy databases. I'm not sure why it was done this way, but please allow users to designate the folder or default it to the same location...

Re: download stock indexes....

Hi 4EverMaAT, As far as we're aware, this data is only available directly from their website. If it were available via their JForex Platform, it may be possible. Regards. That doesn't make any sense. Could you clarify this? you are saying that forex is available via some other process.....but stock...

skip download when tick data to csv file

If I already have downloaded data and I simply want to convert into csv format, does TickStory still attempt to check the internet to get more data? I should be able to use the existing database and generate csv file only from what is already stored locally. I would like a checkbox that would allow ...

Re: variable spread in backtesting....

Hi 4EverMaAT, The export and launcher only support fixed spreads at the moment. Regards. I export my data using Birt's csv2fxt script, which can use the real spread when making fxt file. so even if I use csv2fxt and the fxt file does contain real spread information, I can still only access fixed sp...

variable spread in backtesting....

I noticed that the variable spread does not work at all during backtesting. I have an EA that is spread-sensetive and may not take certain trades during certain spread conditions. How do I enable variable spreads? The tick data is not very useful without the ability to actually simulate the data ful...
