Re: Tick saver to CSV
Hi Jarl,
There is no such information that is provided by MT4. The "volume" in MT4 is actually the number of ticks that occurred in the bar. More discussion on this topic can be found here:

Hope this helps.

Re: data storage and use from external HD
Hi Gabriele, I'm not sure we have identified the original issue that you mention from the post: http://www.tickstory.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=298 If you are still trying to resolve this issue, then appreciate if you could follow up on this post. But to answer your questions as best as possible: 1) ...

Re: Tick saver to CSV
Hi Jarl, The script you are referring to doesn't give you "complete" tick data - it is effectively giving you the closing price of a 1-minute bar on every tick. The data that the Tickstory "tick export" provides includes more granular information such as the bid and ask price at that particular time...

Re: Is it possible to launch twice MT4 for backtesting?
Hi Rikisher, Welcome to the forum and thanks for your contribution. From what you describe, you are talking about duplicating the entire MT4 folder? If so, then yes, it is possibly to launch two instances however you need to also duplicate all the historical data as well which can be prohibitive. I ...

Re: Problem in settings
Hi Tickroll, Not sure what settings box you are referring to, however it sounds like you firstly need to test your internet connection by: 1) In Tickstory, going to File->Settings and; 2) In the Dukascopy settings, "Test" your connection by pressing the button. If you are getting an error, this mean...

Re: MT4/tickstory/TDS
Hi Gabriele, After Step 7) I believe if you had attempted to press the back-test button on a particular symbol that did not have its FXT marked as 'read-only', this file would have been deleted by MT4 as part of its normal back-testing process (which is to clear the FXT files and regenerate them). W...

Re: Access denied error upgrading from v1.0 to v1.1
Another option is to relocate the Dukascopy tick data folder like so: 1) In Tickstory, go to File->Settings and check your current Dukascopy "store folder" location. This is where Tickstory is currently saving your data. 2) Move this folder to another location which is accessible to Tickstory such a...
