about professional version license

Post by hde »

Hi,

The license of professional version is described as "Personal & Commerciall Use".

https://tickstory.com/download-tickstory/

I bought tick story professional version
because I want to use historycal data in my chart web application.

but, when installing,"This software is intended for PERSONAL USE only" is displayed .

with professional edition,
is it possible to use historical data in my chart web application?

Regards,

Hi Hde,

Thanks for the note about our EULA. We will update it to denote that licensed users are permitted to use the application for commercial use. Generally speaking, as long as you're using the application for its intended purpose of exporting data (as opposed to trying to on-sell, bundle or otherwise commercialize the application), then there is no problem. In your case, if you are exporting data to the web application, this is not a problem. Please note, however, that you are also bound by Dukascopy's license terms so please ensure that you are adhering to any additional restrictions they have with use of their data and how this applies to your web application. You can find further details on their website.

Hope this helps.

Hi Hde,

I'm not sure if there's an easier way however if you install Dukascopy's JForex Platform (Java-based) and utilize their "historical data download" function, it does give a prompt with further information about how their data can be used.

Hope this helps.

Sorry to bother you again.

I installed Dukascopy's JForex Platform (Java-based) and download historical data.
but no prompt displayed.

"a prompt" is this?

if that is this,
that says " PERSONAL USE " in japanease.
Is it different in English version?

Yes, that's the prompt. I expect the English and Japanese versions are the same.
You will need to make your own assessment about what this means for you.

Thanks.
