Re: difference data between brokers and tick story
Hi Arie589,
Depending on your EA, you will get varying discrepancies between two different data sets. This is especially true for scalping/short-term strategies. The best approach to analyze the first trade with each data-set and understand why. This is a useful technique for long-term/low frequency trading strategy. If your strategy is high frequency, then your objective should not be to exactly match equity curves but instead ensuring that your strategy is resilient when using different data inputs such as spread and slippage. Our Advanced Tester will help you test these conditions and ensure you are trading with a robust strategy that can isn't over-optimized and is likely to perform as you expect when you trade it live.
