S&P Max Lot Size

Post by davids9317 »

I've downloaded USA500IDXUSD, mapped to my broker symbol S&P and set up using the values shown in the attached. The values added mean the trades are the same as with my broker eg a point is 0.01 and also worth $0.01 for 1 lot. With this leverage I need to trade with large volumes and my problem is there seems to be a limit of around 10.

My EA which enters trades progressively uses volumes like;
No 1; 8.96
No 2; 1.08
No 3; 0.05
No 4; 0.06

I want four trades with around 10 lots, I've tried all sorts of values in the 'Max Lot' field and I can't get any more than this, only if I enter 1,000,000 I get an error when the EA tries to trade!

Any help much appreciated.

Regards,
Dave.

Hi David,

As far as I am aware, the Max Lot Size specifies the maximum lot size for a single order. I assume you are getting an error which is preventing further trades in which case check the error code to make sure you have sufficient funds.

Hope this helps.
