Hello! Today I went to do the backtest but could not make because the following message appeared: "TestGenerator: internal error because the file not opened"

I also realized that I could only download the historical data for EURUSD March until July 2012 only, but asked to download from March 2012 to March 2013.

What happened?

For the sake of those who don't have a Microsoft account I have uploaded the screenshot (the forum has been configured to now allow larger attachments).

Looking at the MT4 error you are getting it appears to be due to not launching with Tickstory (by pressing F8). Can you confirm you have done this and no errors have been reported? Also, what version of MT4 are you using?

Yes .. That's right! I had to close the MT4 platform, open Tickstory and push F8. After that it worked properly. Gotta leave the Tickstory open too?

It is not necessary to leave Tickstory open. Note also there is a manual you can access by pressing F1 within Tickstory that details the back-testing procedure. It also includes video instructions that can be automatically translated into your local language.
