MT5 looking for JSON file format

Post by ericand42 »

I downloaded tick data from Dukascopy using Tickstory. The file downloaded is in csv format. When I try to create a custom symbol in MT5 by importing the data file, the only file format that MT5 offers is a JSON file format therefor I am unable to create custom symbol.

Please advise.

Hi Ericand42,

MT5 only support the JSON file format to import symbols. The other option is simply to duplicate an existing symbol as described in this post.

Hope this helps.
