Hello,
I'm using a tip on windows in order to do multiple BT at the same time but it's boring to modify MT4 settings before launching each MT4 instance...
Is there a way to start MT4 independantly, without having to type F8 in TS ?
Thanks !
Metatrader 4 launch (scripted, multi-instance)
Re: Metatrader 4 launch (scripted, multi-instance)
Hi Gdelmeire,
Our new Advanced Tester (in final beta stages) supports multiple instances of Metatrader. There is no need to explicitly press a 'Start' button, you can just fire off a new instance of MT4 and as long as the Advanced Tester is running, it will prepare it for testing.
Do note that the beta now requires an active subscription to access all features. You can renew your subscription by going to the Help->About button and clicking the 'Renew' link.
Thanks.

I may will test the beta !
for the moment, can you tell me what's the difference between starting with MT4 F8 and starting MT4 from explorer ? Maybe I could create a specific shortcut for each instances that I want to start.
Thanks

Hi Gdelmeire,
Unfortunately you cannot invoke this functionality without Tickstory's 'Start' button as it performs some internal functions to prepare the back-tester. The AdvancedTester would be the only way to do what you want.
Thanks.

Hi jigneshp21,
This functionality is provided by our new Advanced Tester product (in final beta stage).
Hope this helps.
