Re: Faster backtest with x second interval/timeframe
siolibros: tickstory and me understood your you idea already in your first post. It's just you don't need any new timeframe creation to use your solution. TSL has all of the ticks coming from Dukascopy; as far as I understand, we discussing your idea. The idea seems to be good (with the comments abo...

Re: Faster backtest with x second interval/timeframe
I reply to each idea in details, trying to pointing out their concern on the strategies. - "Maxmum of x ticks per minute." Whenever x consecutive ticks occurred, all the remaining ticks would be suppressed for that minute. (Potential for missing large price moves) This could be good, but v...

Re: Faster backtest with x second interval/timeframe
Your idea is quite interesting, I'm using grid systems as well, so I'm interested. For grid systems, all tick vs. open prices could make a really big difference. It all depends on how much and which data (ticks) will be removed from the equasion. In your video, check the reports: Ticks modelled 4737...

Re: v1.7 Released!
I've found a solution, which seems to be enough to use as a workaround about the spread-problem (mentioned by the previous post). 1. start MT4 from TSL with the basic method 2. change the spread in the select input field, and switch to Control point method 3. press Start and wait for the first tick,...

Re: v1.4 Released!
The Filter Duplicate tick" option is off by default as it could affect some scalping strategies. As such, we decided it's best for this option to be intentionally selected by the user if they know their EA does not need this extra data. Thanks for the info. However, for example in the case of...

Thank you, guys!
Hungarian translation of the post.
One question: why "Filter duplicate ticks" is not set by default?

Re: v1.3 Release Candidate to support MT4 Build 545, 574+
I am 100% sure of this. I installed a fresh copy of Excel Markets outside of the Program files folder. TickLite 1.3 could not detect the installation folder. What I did as a workaround is manually navigated to the "[C:\[Windows User]\AppData\Roaming\MetaQuotes\Terminal\FE4723A6C29xxxxxxxxxxxxx...
