Re: Tickstory & MT5 Support
You are correct, mt5 allows for testing on every tick based on real ticks. I am starting with m1 for development purposes and will then look at tick testing if suitable. I hope others try this as well as I am eager to get feedback from others.

Re: Tickstory & MT5 Support
Please see this on the use of ticks in mt5: https://www.metatrader5.com/en/terminal ... generation As you will note, it is differnet than mt4.
I plan on running long mt5 tests on m1 data loaded as you outlined above and will post here any issues. Thank you!

Re: Tickstory & MT5 Support
I am also looking at using Tickstory for MT5. The strategy tester in MT5 is superior to that in MT4 in some respects, including its ability to use multiple cores and test multi-instrument strategies (huge advantages in test time). Its limitation is that it does not support tick data (all TF are gene...

Re: Missing M1 hst bars
Yes, I doubled checked the data and many of my missing M1 bars are in fact in the Duk data, but somehow are missing in history center (hst) when I export to MT4 with TS. I am unsure what is going on, it is odd. I am not backtesting with mt4, so I am not looking for fxt files, just high quality M1 hs...

Missing M1 hst bars
My downloaded data is missing many M1 bars at random times (not large gaps, just missing M1 bars every few hours across different pairs). Are these normal gaps in Duk data or is something off in the creation of the HST files? Thank you.

Re: New HST format - spread & volume
Never mind, I see that MQ has not implemented this yet. Its just an empty place holder in the HST structure for now. Bummer.

New HST format - spread & volume
I am hoping to load HST files that have spread and volume information according to the new file format. As the new HST format has the highest spread of the bar, do the HST files generated by Tickstory now have that variable spread information or do they still have a fixed spread? Is there any way to...

Re: Tickstory to convert nonDuk csv to fxt/hst
By the way, where does mt4 store the existing HST file that is used for a live chart? For example, if I have a live account with a M5 chart open and I look through the available data folders, I do not see a M5 HST file with a recent modified date. Where is the actual file? I ask I want to backup and...

Re: Tickstory to convert nonDuk csv to fxt/hst
I am also interested in making sub-M1 HST files, if that is possible on the new build? Perhaps with TDS? Thanks.
