Re: Times and Timezones with Tickstory Data
Thanks for the responses, this makes it easier to understand. This is the first time I've built an EA so reliant on time so just getting used to the settings. I've always just selected UTC in the past. So to confirm, because the data is coming from Dukascopy selecting "none" or "UTC&q...

Times and Timezones with Tickstory Data
Hello, How does tickstory map data to bars in metatrader? I've been running backtests with the S&P500 and seeing some strange things. In my data, in 2012 the first candle on each day has a time of 0700, which on the next candle switches to 1430, the daily period then runs 1430-2130. So this seem...

Re: Index Data - Russell 2000 (US2000)
Yes please, that would be great. I've not used any other data providers before but I notice that tickdata.com have data for the Russell 2000. While making suggestions, it would also be good if you could source more data history for all of the indices. At the moment I think you have data back to 2011...

Hello,
Any plans to include data for the Russell 2000 index (US2000) in future?
Thanks.

Cannot Calculate Prices for BRENT
Hi, I have downloaded the data for BRENT. The data seems fine until my EA tries to place an order. I get the error message "tester cannot calculate prices". I have mapped the data to the correct symbol. I have tried setting the Profit Calc Mode to both 1 or 2, and neither have worked for m...

Re: Spreads and Commissions in Backtesting
Hi TickStory, Thanks for the response. So just to clarify. 1) Regarding spread settings, it's only possible to use the spread settings shown in the box in MT4 strategy tester itself? 2) For commissions, if I change the commission settings in the TickStory export to MT4 will they be applied in the ba...

Spreads and Commissions in Backtesting
Hello,
Is it still possible to set custom spreads and commission costs in the export data process?
I think I seen somewhere that it was no longer possible, but wondered if it had been fixed in any of the updates?
Thanks,
