The reason why an older install file will also install the last build 950 of Metatrader is because the exe file will connect to the broker server during installation and download the latest version. Has anybody an idea from which version on this happening. So we than need to go back to an MT4 build ...

Improving is nice ... but the problems with the frequent software updates are driving me crazyyyyyyy ! After I updated to 1.7 ... Tickstory dax question.jpg I have not managed yet to back test Dax (Duka symbol: DEUIDXEUR) with Tickstory ! I get order send errors like 131and 130 ...and no trades in the back tester. I want to map Dukascopy DEUIDXEUR to FXCM GER30. Can someone explain the missing fields in the Tickstory settings...

I would be happy to share my FXCM tick data with the Tickstory community. But please could Tickstory add a "import CSV tick data" feature to the Tickstory 1.7 light ?

Sorry, not working for me! All with the same settings, but BT gives no results. Had to delete the new install and go back to version 1.6. All is working like before now !

Hi Jollydragon, If you're referring to acquiring data from these platforms, we're investigating other sources for quality data. Ideally we would like to create a data import routine for MT4 which should cover all supporting brokers such as ThinkForex. Regards. In that case please include FXCM. I ha...

Can you explain us please, how we can see that we have real ticks in MT4 now that we use Tickstory ? I mean MT4 generates also ticks and they look also real ...
