MT4 Limit of 2GB and variable raw spreads

Please, could you add a variable raw spread feature instead of the fixed spreads it is very important for expert advisors with max spreads feature which are trading in high spreads hours...

And please could you fix the MT4 2GB limit ?

Hi Mmsk,

Unfortunately we don't have any new updates regarding variable spread. The main sticking point is having to constantly update the launcher when new MT4 builds are created which is very time-consuming. We're looking instead to improve the launcher so others can participate in updating it and adding new features.

Interesting... I don't seem to have a 2GB limit, but I do have a 4GB limit and therefore can only backtest about 3 years of tick data. It would be really nice if tick story could get around the 4GB limit like the tick data suite does.

i, can backtest 4 years with 4gb.
What is the purpose of doing a 10 year backtest, from a trader perspective?
I mean market changes alot in this time frame. From my experience i can optimise for about 2 years. but i i would optimise for 4 years for example
the win is not linear. A 10 year optimisation for example is just a very huge compromise.
I mean you will benefit more if you watch each year in seperate and then compare it to a 2-Year and 4 Year Backtest.
(If your Ea Values can stand in win zone). To to this for a 10 year period , i doubt i will work.

As workaround you can just split your backtest, or better your a second pc in parallel to save time.

1- Variable Spread
2- Remove Size Limit
3- Data from other than Duka
4- Multi Terminal
