Tickstory and commission

Hello,
i think there is a problem about tickstory detect commision of the broker or about it write correct commission on the fxt generated file.

This is the situation.

I use pepperstone razor account. It have a commision of 5.23 Eur per Lot.
Before i export the file i set the correct value on the form:

- 5.23 for the commission base
- 0 for the commission type
- 0 for commission_lot

But when i open the generated file with the "MT4 data editor" i view that the commission type is setted to 1 generating a wrong simulation.

Another problem is that the tickinfo.ex4 dont detect the correct margin currency that in my case is EUR and not USD.

I hope in the next version those errors are correct.

Apologies for the delayed notification - as you may be aware by now, the issue with commission type was addressed shortly after you reported it and was released as part of v1.4. With regards to Margin Currency, unfortunately MT4 does not provide this information via MQL so it needs to be entered manually.

Hello, I have a problem with the commissions. I use the platform from another broker for testing and another for trading. My STP broker for trading a commission of 10 usd per lot.
I'm setting this comm type = 0
                       base comm = 10
                           comm lots = 0

But when I look at the report with trade there is an error ..

For example, EURUSD losing trade 1lot -3 pips (-30usd ) + (-10usd commission) = -40 USD so this is correct, but I have


                                  trade 1lot -3 pips = -23 USD
All losing trades, commission adds but not deducted
And sometimes commission more and sometimes less ...

Where is the problem?

Hi Bogola,

Perhaps it is the swap rate that is skewing the profit calculations? You can check what swap has been set in the FXT editor.

Hello, I'm sorry that depreciated until now. Swap set at zero, and still the wrong commission. Please help with setting commission. It is a currency AUD / CAD. Thank you for answer.

And every time a losing trade, the Commission added, but it has to be deducted .. For example losing trade is -41 usd plus commission is -51 usd, but there is some nonsense example -28usd .. I can not understand it ..
