Commission settings

Hi,
i am confused about commissions and the results in back test.
I have tickstory 1.72 with MT4 build 910 and till now for exporting data to MT4 left "commission" still empty.

I have Roboforex ECN where i have for EURUSD about 0.6 spread and round turn for commissions 4$.
Till now i only have set in tester for spread = 15 to add spread and commissions together as save settings.

So for example i got in back test with a scalper for 2 years a profit result of 290.000 $
Now i have put the commissions by exporting to MT4 into the data and set in tester spread = 9 (for security) and get a profit result of 2 million....!

Again:
1. no commission , but spread 15 = profit 290.000
2. 4$ commission and spread = 9 : profit 2.000.000

But what is wrong ?
What should i do?
And how can i check, if there are commissions calculated in the trade. In BT result i don't see any "commisisons".

Hi Netprofit,

Your EA's behaviour could be changing notably as a result of the spread changes, so I would advise that you don't focus on the profit until you are confident you have modelled you commission properly.

Try these settings for your broker:

Comm type: 0 (Money)
Base Comm: 4
Comm lots: 1 (Per deal)

And then you will need to confirm within the the back-test result whether the correct commission has been applied (it is unfortunately not displayed as a separate field).

Once you finalise this, you can start tweaking the spread and obviously any profit changes after that are due to your EA reacting differently to the changed market conditions.

Commissions 10 USD per lot, but comission charged every trade depending on the lot size

It looks like you need the following settings:

Comm type: 0 (Money)
Base Comm: 10
Comm lots: 0 (Per lot)
