Hi,
with tickstory 1.8.3 and MT4-1010, I had solved the "cannot open [5]" error switching kayboard language from italian (comma for decimals) to english (dot for decimals). Now I can copy all .fxt setting from broker to export.

Hi Geldwolf,
Could you please tell us the broker terminal you are using? A screenshot of your MT4 Settings in the "Export to MT4" tab would also help.
Thanks.

We use MT4 in combination with IG, see screenshots of settings and journal
Re: TestGenerator FXT cannot open [5]
Hi Geldwolf,
We've downloaded the IG Market terminal and successfully tested without any issues. We did the following steps:
1) Obtained the correct settings for NAS100 by following through the steps mentioned here: http://tickstory.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=809. We have exported the settings and attached .mt4config file to this message (see instructions on how to use it below).
2) Exported at least 3 months of historical data.
3) Press 'Start' on the back-test.
If you save the attached .mt4config file, you can then go to the "Export MT4" window, then select the "Metatrader Info" tab and then load this config. Make sure you export at least 3 months of data and everything should work fine.
Hope this helps.

Hi Geldwolf,
Good to hear it's working now. As always, ensure you baseline with the standard "MACD Sample" to ensure this is not an issue with your EA. Appreciate if you can post in a new thread if you require further assistance as it looks like the original query has been solved.
Thanks!
