Export to file downloads again

Hi, first of all thanks for a great product!

I may have found a possible bug:

When downloading history for a few years overnight, with Tickstory 1.8.9.1
I can "Export to MT4..." and it won't download unecessary data twice.
However if I do "Export to file..." (because I am interested in the tickdata) it will always downloads everything again (Retrieving .... 0%)..

Could it be that this feature is not properly checking the database for already existant data?

Hi Ray,

Thanks for your feedback. In both cases - MT4 Export and File Export - the logic is the same. The software will attempt to find the data on your disk before doing to the internet. The message does say 'retrieving', however it is a generic message to report that the system is "retrieving" data from the source.

Ahh okay, sorry I didn't realize that, I just assumed it was downloading it again probably..
But I guess it was slower because I exported ticks in a custom format and its just more data
