I have the same problem. MT4 shuts down as soon as I start a backtest. I tried the "skipupdate" in the MT4 launcher command line but that doesn't help.
Please solve this ASAP.
Have you done really everything from my post above?
Tickstory 1.72 with downgraded MT4 910 ?
Have you checked your running version of MT4 ?
And "
/skipupdate" ?

I also followed the instructions and reverted back to 1.7.2 and build 910. Seems to be the best solution until an official fix (or a stable build) is released for 920 and above. Thank you for the help.

Hi guys,
Today I've bought your last version. I've downloaded EURUSD data but when i try to launch MT4 appear the attached window
does it indicate any problem with the export data?
On the other site, when i have a backtest with these data the modeling quality is "s/n" (insted of 99.9%) and the bar is full green.
How can i be sure everithing is OK?
Regards,

Hi Newdreams,
The launcher error does indicate something has not been set up correctly (although your data export sounds fine). Please follow the check-list in our trouble-shooting guide under the question "
I am getting a launcher error" here:
http://tickstory.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=613.
Hope this helps.

Good Morning,
I tried what you propose to me and I didn't find nothing wrong.
There are several things that I can not see clear:
1. First I tried the free version (lite) and then I bought the full version,I installed the full version from the link you sent me by e-mail. But The icon on the desktop and directories created appear "tick story lite". I think I've entered the activation key correctly.
2. When I do a backtest, in the final report, the quality of the model is "s /n", but the bar is completely green.
3. I think tickstory makes data export to MT4, because initially my MT4 database was empty and then export the data appears just dates I selected. My question is if this export is entirely correct (for the problem of the quality of modeling).

Hi Newdreams,
Could you kindly confirm the MT4 Build you are using (Help->About in MT4).
Thanks.

Hi guys,
I think I have found what is happening.
I tested the system with MT4 Roboforex (buld 920) and everything OK, 99.9% quality modelation and without errors.
I think my problem is my Pepperstone MT4 has been updated (build 940).
I supose I will have to wait for a new update tickstory...
Thanks for everything

Hi all,
We have confirmed that the launcher requires an update for Build 940. Given that MT4 is in the midst of numerous significant changes, we have decided to wait to ensure this newest build is stable before updating the launcher. We are getting too many users having difficulties with the latest MT4 versions at the moment and it is generating lots of unnecessary support requests. The recommendation at this point is to stick to a working Build such as 910. We will update this thread when we have further information.
Thanks.

After the update of MT4 to 940 I see now every time with TS v 1.7.3 (see attached screenshot). Could you fix this and release a fix to allow the loading of 940? Or is there a beta version we can try to overcome this issue? Thank you.

Hi Lenny,
As per our last post, Build 940 is not currently supported and the recommended build to work with is 910 (see at the start of the thread for download instructions). We will advise when we have an update for Build 940 on this thread:
http://tickstory.com/forum/viewtopic.ph ... 6&start=60. There is no ETA at this stage since we are waiting for MT4 to settle in the development cycle before trying to update the Tickstory launcher.
Thanks.
