Relative Time/Exchange time-zones

Post by raforrester »

Hi guys, hopefully someone can help as I'm tearing my hear out with this.

I'm using Tickstory Lite to download index data (FTSE/DAX) for import into MT4 as I'm working on a strategy that I only want to place trades during the cash market but I can't correlate the times which get downloaded to actual market times. I've tried cross referencing Yahoo! historical daily data to try and find a time/price that align on the hour but I seem to be going round in circles.

Has anyone here figured this out?

thanks.

Hi Raforrester,

The timestamps for DAX and FTSE should be recorded in the local timezone. Therefore, if you just leave the timezone untouched at "UTC", the time-stamps should end up being untouched (we will put a note to add an explicit "No time conversion" option in the future).

Hope this helps.

Hi Raforrester,

Just to let you know that a "None" timezone has now been added as of v1.8.5 which explicitly leaves the time in the native time-zone.

Regards.
