Hello,

i have the newest version of tickstory and have the professional version and i have metatrader 1170 - but i all the time have the m54 launch issue. I did all i saw in the faq. Whats the issue with this programm?

I'm having the same problem: "A suitable launcher could not be found for your Metatrader version."
The message is followed by the supported build of the Platform and the last one is the Build I have: 1170.

Could you please confirm you are running at least Tickstory v1.9.2.7 in Help->About? If so, could you please run through the following trouble-shooting steps:

Hello, I love Tickstory.....but....

I'm also unable to launch MT4 thru Tickstory. "A suitable launcher could not be found for your Metatrader version"

I have Tickstory Standard version 1.9.7.19 and MT4 version 4.00 build 1431

Previously I was simply lauching MT4 as normal, and getting 99.9% green bar in backtesting. Recently, while testing JPN225 (nikkei index) weird stuff was happening, with zero divides, huge margin requirements etc. no green bars!

I think this may be caused by incorrectly exporting, but sometimes MT4 can't see the downloaded data. How important is it to launch through Tickstory?

Hi Colin,

As new MT4 Builds are released, we also update our software to maintain compatibility. To get the latest version of our software to resolve this issue, you will need to update your subscription. You can do this by going to Help->About in Tickstory and clicking on the "Renew" button. Once your subscription is renewed, the latest version will be available to you via the same download link you were sent when you purchased a license. The latest version 1.9.8.6 supports the recently released MT4 Build 1436.

Thanks, I've now upgraded Tickstory to the latest version, however my version of MT4 is also upgraded to 1440
I'm still getting the error message when trying to launch, through Tickstory. However, I'm getting the full green bar when backtesting - does that mean that all is ok?

MT4 released a flurry of updates recently so we have just updated Tickstory to v1.9.8.7 which supports Build 1440.
