Access denied error upgrading from v1.0 to v1.1

Hi all,

For those of you experiencing "access denied" errors while downloading after upgrading to v1.1, please note that this error is likely caused because Tickstory is no longer requesting for Windows admin privileges in the latest version. This means for those users who have nominated the Program Files directory as their tick data location, Windows will now deny Tickstory access to write to this location without admin privileges. You therefore have two options to resolve this issue: 1) Move the Tickstory application to another directory such as C:\Tickstory or 2) Run Tickstory as Administrator.

Please follow up on this thread if you have any queries.

Thanks.

Another option is to relocate the Dukascopy tick data folder like so:

1) In Tickstory, go to File->Settings and check your current Dukascopy "store folder" location. This is where Tickstory is currently saving your data.
2) Move this folder to another location which is accessible to Tickstory such as in "My Documents\Tickstory data" or something similar.
3) In Tickstory, go to File->Settings and select this new directory as your new store folder.

As another user has reported, if you are exporting to a Metatrader installation that resides in the C:\Program Files directory, you must either move the installation to a different location or run Tickstory as an administrator to give it sufficient access rights to write to this directory.

Thanks.
