Tickstory

I download data from Tickstory and it’s in my tester history (it’s a big file). Then I go to run a strategy tester (within the date range that I downloaded) and the screen on the tester says “waiting for update) and the bottom left corner of mt4 says collecting data. Then it runs. After it’s done i go back to the tester history and the file size is smaller than the others. Meaning the broker data replaced my Tickstory data. Please help.

Hi Gsolomos,

Could you please clarify whether you are referring to the HST or FXT files? Can you please try manually setting the "read-only" flag on the files in-question by right-clicking on them in Windows File Explorer and checking the "read-only" check-box? You might also try disconnecting from your broker by going to File->Login to Account and typing an incorrect password.

Is your data on a removable drive? Also, what MT4 Build version are you using?
