problem with release 1.7.3 and MT4 build 950

Hi,
I can't find this problem posted.... I run Tickstory as Administrator (Export to MT4 will not work otherwise-gives a permissions error). The download goes fine, and MT4 launches fine. When I go to do a backtest, MT4 can't find the data, get error TestGenerator: no history data USDJPY60.
What have I missed?
Stephen

Maybe my problem is related to upgrading to windows 10?

Hi StephenS,
You will need to revert to Build 910 as Tickstory is not currently compatible with Build 950 at the moment due to some breaking changes that have recently been made in MT4. You can see more about how to roll-back here:

Any future updates will be announced here:

Regards.

Hi,
I reverted to build 910, added the noupdate in the tickstory launcher. MT4 stays at 910, but the export to MT4 does not work. There are no error messages. I am on windows 10, and run tickstory as administrator (the export would not work otherwise). When the export is complete, I launch MT4 from tickstory. The backtest I try generates an error saying no data.
Thanks for the help!
Stephen

Hi StephenS,
Could you please post a screenshot of the error you are getting? Have you ensured that your MT4 Data Folder location (in MT4 File->Open Data Folder) matches that of the one you have configured in Tickstory (File->Settings->MT4 Settings->MT4 Data Folder)?
Thanks.

Thank You!! I am very sorry I didn't catch the problem. I had the data folder wrong, it had been changed when I upgraded to windows 10 I think.
Happy New Year!

Hi,
I have just purchased Tickstory's data not realising it doesn't work with build 950 .. I have tried the above recommendations to back date my platform to 910 but with no success.. Is there a straight forward way of getting around this problem with out major hassle ? is there an update soon that is compatible with 950 ?
any help would be greatly appreciated..
many thanks..
Ja.

Hi Jay,
We'd like to assist you with getting you up-and-running. We are planning to release a launcher update for Build 950, however this will not address the issues with spread. The best bet is to roll-back to Build 910 at this stage. Could you describe what problem you're having with using Build 910 so we can help resolve it?
Thanks.
