Incorrect point Size for some pairs

Post by bmigette »

Hi,

I noticed that a few exotic pairs are not getting correct settings using the tickstory info EA, and I have to adjust it manually.
Most often, point size is 0.00001 instead of 0.0001.

Non exhaustive list:
USDZAR
EURNOK
EURSEK
AUDSGD
SGDJPY
USDMXN
...

I tried XM and Pepperstone.

What it seems is that money that can vary from 1 or 2 digit before decimal are using a point size of 0.0001.
Example, USDSEK might vary from 7.XXXXX to 10.XXXXX

I am not sure if there is a way to get the precision using the EA though, but just raising that topic.

Hi Bmigette,

Thanks for the feedback. TickstoryInfo EA can only obtain this information if the mentioned symbol exists on the broker's server. For those that don't exist, a point size is assumed and you will need to manually edit the information. Once you have done this, you can 'Save as Default' to ensure that these values are used on your next export.

Hope this helps.
