Searching to Import INDICES and Commodities

Hello,

Tickstory at now can only import Data from Currency Pairs.
It is possible to import other Data, like DAX, FTSE, S&P500 or Gold and Silver?

It was great if you can add these Features.

I was able to import 2years DAX data, map it to DE.30.. which is my broker code for the DAX CFD, as well as inputing the correct symbol properties (tick, digit, size, margin...) so the charts are fine and the quality is 99.9% when backtesting

But the problem I get is my eas don't trade during the backtest on these data (I get messages like "cannot calculate exchange rate" or "tester cannot calculate prices" or others)

2 remarks:
- on my other MT4 instance connected to my broker these ea backtests are fine (but only up to 3 month)
- I don't have this probleme on EURUSD or other tickstory currencies

I suspect it could be wrong parameters input by me in the MetaTraderInfo tab. I attached it so you may be able to give me a clue :

Hi, the tickstory expert advisor do not extract settings from indizes, it only extract from currency pairs. Is it normal?
All symbols are shown in the market, but not in the file.

Since there are non-standard names for indices, etc, you will need to acquire these manually by using these steps:

Hi, due the problem with the indices, i have written a script, that show all necessary informations to put in the tickstory, it would be great if you put it with the tickstory. It can write a file with the information in MQL/files

As per our discussion, attached is the source code for your utility. Thanks again for the contribution. We've renamed the script for easy identification, although all your original copyright information remains intact.

Users can use this utility to find out useful information about the specified symbol. Just drag the script to the chart for the target symbol. There are still some settings that may not be available via this script. For the moment, these additionl details can be found using the method described in this post:
