I had lite version but wasn't working on my version of MT4 so bought full version. I have been reading forums and trying to get this to work for days now but no joy. Issues as follows:
- When I export to MT4 tickstory is showing errors in log window:
Tickstory settings are:
I have mapped the MT4 settings prior to export using the Tickstory EA.
Once exported to MT4, I hit the launch button which seems to work ok. I then run the tester in MT4 but none of the exported data seems to be picked up. Report after backtest not showing any of this data, also see MT4 build I am running:
Any ideas what the problems are?

Re: Export to MT4 ok, MT4 launches but tester not running da
Hi Djbrathiswaite,
Regarding the "remote server returned an error" message in your first screenshot, this error will occur if you are trying to download beyond a date range that is available on Dukascopy's servers. If you try the downloading same date again (Aug 9th 2016) it now should be available. You can ignore this error if it happens for the current date.
As for the results, it appears that MT4 isn't currently using the data you are exporting which means either you are:
1) Exporting to the incorrect location (check that your MT4 installation folder is selected correctly) or;
2) Not mapping the data correctly. Ensure you are using your full symbol name which appears to be .UK100 (note the "dot" at the start of the symbol). Once you have exported, just check that the appropriately named FXT files are in your MT4 data folder (In MT4, go to File->Open Data Folder and then open tester/history to see the files).
If you are still having difficulties. appreciate if you can show a screenshot of your MT4 export settings and your MT4 Data Folder contents.
Thanks!

hi, I have tried everything with this but can't get any meaningful back testing to work. Please can you issue me with a refund? Thanks

Hi Djbrathiswaite,
As per our discussion offline, you have successfully managed to back-test your EA with 99% modelling quality, however there are questions about whether your EA can back-test in tick-quality mode.
You can refer to this thread for how to get your broker settings for a particular symbol if you need to in the future:

Thanks.
