A question about re-download the tick datas

Post by thomas2004ch »

Hi TickStory,

1.
I've downloaded the history data from 2015.01.01 to 2018.06.25 since I had not so much disk formerly. Now I get a much bigger one and want to download longer tick datas. If I will download the data from 2010.01.01 to current, can I simply download it as I did before? The already downloaded tick datas will be overwritten?

2.
My broker has change the name for DAX. Formerly it is called CFDDAX. But now it is called DAX30. How can I do in this case?

Hi Thomas,

To answer your questions:

1) Correct. Just re-export the date range you need and the existing data will be overwritten.
2) You will need to "map" your symbol to "DAX30". The process is described in the manual and if you do a search for "Map to" or "DAX30" in this forum you can also find some helpful, specific information:

Hi TickStory,

To 1):
I remember this is not possible formerly. Does this mean you have improved your features?

Hi Thomas,

Maybe I misunderstood the question but you still need to export the entire date range you wish to test. All existing data is overwritten.
